The purpose of the HUMAINE Competence Center is to support companies and organizations across various industries in developing AI applications that are not only technologically advanced but also meet the highest ethical and social standards. To accomplish this, the HUMAINE funding project developed interdisciplinary, scientifically validated methods and integrated them into the HUMAINE Toolbox. To meet real-world practical needs, the tools in the toolbox were developed, tested, and optimized in close collaboration with our practice partners.
Pilot applications.
Right from the start of the HUMAINE Toolbox’s development, research and practice partners worked hand in hand to identify the real-world challenges within organizations during the pilot applications, develop and evaluate appropriate methods, and then implement the necessary steps together. The seven pilot applications come from the industrial and healthcare sectors and represent various scenarios with a wide range of technology maturity levels and expertise.
Multiplier Cases.
To ensure that the methods we developed for the HUMAINE Toolbox could be applied as widely as possible while being resource-efficient, we expanded their use following the initial pilot implementations. The tools were evaluated more thoroughly in new use cases across additional sectors.
