Multiplier case: Job Perception Inventory (JOPI)
A comparative analysis of job identity in the context of human-centred AI implementation
Summary
The JOPI is a modular questionnaire inventory for psychological work analysis in the human-AI context. The aim of the JOPI is to facilitate the redesign or reorganisation of workplaces through the use of AI systems, whilst taking human needs, abilities and preferences into account. The JOPI thus forms the basis for adapting technologies, organisations and work processes to human needs and abilities.

Description of the Approach
The JOPI has since been applied to three occupational groups: speech and language therapy, management consultancy and physiotherapy
(N = 482). The focus of these applications was primarily on the comparative analysis of job identity, with a view to deriving job identity profiles and the associated implications for a human-centred introduction of AI.
Goals & Results
The results so far reveal fascinating similarities and differences in the job identities of the occupational groups studied, which provide valuable insights for human-centred design. In future, the JOPI will be applied to further occupational groups in order to expand on existing findings and offer companies more starting points for a human-centred roll-out of AI.
