Based on the content of the ‘humAIne toolbox’ from the co-determination dialogues, in the case of the multiplier organisation Doncasters Precision Castings-Bochum GmbH, a draft
framework works agreement on the use of AI, ready for negotiation, was drawn up in collaboration with the management, the works council and in-house experts.

First, a pilot area for the use of AI was defined in an orientation workshop (1)
with the works council and management. Subsequently, in
identification workshops (2) with the works council, areas of action for employee participation in
the company regarding the use of AI were identified. Finally, dialogue workshops (3) were held with the works council
and in-house experts to draw up a draft (framework) works agreement
on the co-determined introduction of AI within the company.

The insights gained during the joint development process with
Doncasters Precision Castings–Bochum GmbH regarding a
framework works agreement for the use of AI form the basis
for developing the content of the humAIne toolbox – a model AI works agreement
– which will then be applied in further use cases and evaluated on an ongoing basis in the process.
