Multiplier case: AI implementation with employee involvement

Gebr. Eickhoff Maschinenfabrik and Eisengießerei GmbH

Summary

Based on the HUMAINE Toolbox content from GA RUB/IGM, the co-determination dialogues and
based onworks agreement on AI, it is intended that in the
multiplier case based Gebr. Eickhoff Maschinenfabrik u. Eisengießerei GmbH, in
collaboration with the management, the works council and in-house experts, a,
negotiable draft of a (framework) works agreement on the use of AI is to be drawn up
and brought to the negotiating table.

Description of the Approach

By drawing on the co-determination dialogues, an orientation workshop (1) involving the works council
and management is intended to identify workplace use cases for AI. Subsequently, in
identification workshops (2) with the works council, areas of action based company-level co-determination regarding the use of AI in the identified contexts will be identified.. Finally there will be dialogue workshops (3) with the works council and in-house experts to develop a
draft of an application-specificAI BV and /oran RBV AI based onthe model BV AI. .

Goals & Results

The Eickhoff multiplier project is intended to test,
evaluate and refine the contents of the HUMAINE Toolbox –
the co-determination dialogues and the model collective agreement on AI drawn up by the GA RUB/IGM. Furthermore, the successful
implementation of a (revised) collective agreement
at Eickhoff would potentially open up further opportunities for replication
within the industrial SME sector.
