The fact that the HUMAINE competence center has the opportunity to realize the human-AI role lab directly in the ZESS research building is a real stroke of luck! This week, we once again opened the role lab with our transfer partner Think² and gave participants of the ruhrSTARTUPWEEK an insight into our working scenario with AI. > How are work processes changing through the use of artificial intelligence? > How does AI assistance influence decisions? > How reliable are the recommendations of such systems? > How do people deal with this in critical situations? All these aspects can be experienced for yourself in our role lab! After a short tour of the ZESS research building and an overview of the work of the competence center, the participants had the opportunity to test the scenario in the human-AI role laboratory – developed based on an escape room – for themselves. We are incorporating the valuable and positive feedback from the participants directly into the optimization of the role training.

The HUMAINE Competence Center is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research in the program “Future of Value Creation – Research on Production, Services and Work” and supervised by the Project Management Agency Karlsruhe (PTKA) (funding code: 02L19C200). The funding comprises approximately 8 million euros for an initial period of four years (04/2021-03/2025).
