With the 70th Gfa Spring Congress, the Gesellschaft für Arbeitswissenschaft e.V. (Society for Ergonomics) invited guests to the university campus in Stuttgart-Vaihingen under the motto “Ergonomics in-the-loop: human-technology integration and its impact on people, work and work design”. The HUMAINE project was represented at the GfA with a total of three presentations. Dr. Valentin Langholf kicked things off with his presentation on “Role development in the introduction of digital services and artificial intelligence – testing a role development concept in a mechanical engineering company”, in which he discussed the findings from the pilot project with the practice partner SEEPEX. Shortly afterwards, Dr. Anja Gerlmaier presented on the topic of “Human-centric evaluation and design of autonomous transport vehicles: a case study from distribution logistics”. In the afternoon, Niklas Obermann, the third member of the group, presented a paper titled “AI declarations of DAX corporations: Do they mirror human-centered AI usage?”. In combination with the supporting program, the researchers were able to make new contacts and take away further suggestions.
