What does the responsible use of AI in work processes mean from a global perspective? How can solutions be developed and implemented around the world that are appropriate to the specific national and application contexts? What role can AI play in achieving global sustainability goals?
We recommend that anyone interested in these topics attend the Global Young Faculty Industry Symposium on 30 January 2025. The HUMAINE Competence Centre and the international NET-hUmAIn project, funded by the Worldwide Universities Network (WUN), invite you to this special event, which will take place in person at ZESS in Bochum and will also be available to a global audience via digital streaming. Young academics will present four papers addressing topics such as responsible leadership in the use of AI, the role of participation in the introduction of new knowledge management tools, fairness in the use of generative AI, and global differences in employee participation in AI projects.
Practical insights will be provided by Dr Silvana Hinsen (EY Consulting) on the role of AI in the simultaneous digital and sustainable transformation of organisations, and by Dr Mahdie Karbasi from SNAP GmbH. Another fascinating contribution comes from the philosopher Prof. Emma Ruttkamp-Bloem (University of Pretoria, South Africa) on the topic of ‘Human and AI Flourishing’. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Valentin Langholf (project coordinator) directly or send an email to: net-humain@rub.de.
