The last AI Developer Working Group of the year will take place on 25 November 2024. Assoz. Prof. Johannes Schneider from the University of Liechtenstein will give us an insight into his research under the title ‘Governance of Generative Artificial Intelligence for Companies’. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Johannes Schneider will focus on the fact that Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI), especially large language models such as ChatGPT, has quickly found its way into companies without sufficient governance. GenAI presents both opportunities and risks. Despite extensive debate about the transformative potential of GenAI and the regulatory framework, there is little research on organisational governance from a technical and business perspective. The study by Schneider and colleagues fills this gap by reviewing recent work on developing a GenAI-Governance-Framework for organisations and outlining the scope, objectives and mechanisms for exploiting opportunities and mitigating risks. This research provides practical insights for organisations addressing the challenges of GenAI adoption and identifies critical research gaps. We look forward to exciting insights and a lively discussion.
