The final AI Developers’ Work Group meeting of the year will take place on 2 December 2024. 📅🎉

Associate Professor Dr Johannes Schneider from the University of Liechtenstein will give us an insight into his research in a talk entitled “Governance of Generative Artificial Intelligence for Companies”.

Associate Professor Dr Johannes Schneider highlights in particular that generative artificial intelligence (GenAI), especially large language models such as ChatGPT, has rapidly found its way into businesses without adequate governance. GenAI presents both opportunities and risks. Despite extensive debate on the transformative potential of GenAI and the regulatory framework, there is little research on organisational governance from a technical and business perspective. The study by Schneider and colleagues fills this gap by examining recent work on the development of a GenAI governance framework for organisations and outlining the scope, objectives and mechanisms for capitalising on opportunities and mitigating risks. This research offers practical insights for organisations grappling with the challenges of GenAI adoption and highlights critical research gaps.

We look forward to exciting insights and an engaging discussion.
