Under the motto ‘Artificial Intelligence and Digital Assistance – How We Can Better Support Work,’ Uta Wilkens and Niklas Obermann took part in this year’s research seminar of the Scientific Society for Work and Business Organisation (WGAB) in Hamburg from 26 to 27 September.

🔹 Following an engaging tour of Aurubis, Uta gave a presentation entitled ‘Bridging Knowledge Gaps with GenAI in Industrial Maintenance – Specific needs and contextualised solutions’, providing valuable insights into the role of AI when human expertise is not (or no longer) available in processes.

🔹 On Saturday, Niklas presented his paper ‘Mechanisms of GenAI governance – A case study on the responsible use of GenAI in organisations’ and discussed approaches for the responsible use of GenAI in organisations.

In addition to the exchange of ideas, a joint boat trip and dinner in the Portuguese quarter provided a real taste of Hamburg.

Many thanks to all participants for the inspiring conference and the successful organisation!
