Almost 10 months after the last Advisory Board Meeting in September 2023, the next digital exchange with the Competence Centre’s Advisory Board took place on 16 July. In addition to the report on the main events of the past months, such as the newly founded HUMAINE Network e.V., the focus was particularly on identifying future research initiatives for the HUMAINE consortium. With the participation of the Vice-Rector for Research and Transfer at Ruhr-Universität Bochum, Prof. Dr Günther Meschke, Prof. Dr Mark D. Gross, Director of the ATLAS Institute at the University of Colorado Boulder, Prof. Dr Jens Meier, Head of the Department of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine at Johannes Kepler University, and Armin Schröder, CEO of CROSSMEDIA GmbH, not only current calls for projects were discussed, but also the future direction of the competence centre. With a view to the eventful coming months and promising new project initiatives, the participants parted and agreed on a follow-up meeting at the end of this year to look back on the results of the almost one and a half hour exchange.
