We are pleased to present the book chapter of our research assistant Anika Thurmann!
At the HUMAINE competence center, we research and are committed to the human-centric use of AI in various working environments such as industry, medicine and therapy.
Anika Thurmann, speech therapist and therapy scientist, has published her valuable contribution “Digital Transformation of Healthcare: Fundamentals from a therapy science perspective” in the new textbook ‘’Therapy Sciences – Methods and Concepts for Health Professionals‘’ (Prof. Christiane Lücking and Prof. Cathleen Gaede-Illig, ISBN 978-3-456-86279-8 ). It is the first specialist book to address ethics, clinical reasoning, evidence-based therapeutic action, interprofessional action, understanding of health and illness as well as digitalization, and is explicitly aimed at speech therapists, physiotherapists and occupational therapists.
Author Anika Thurmann says: “During my studies and in my work as a therapy scientist, I would have liked to see a work like this that deals with ethical issues and clinical decision-making and makes digitalization tangible for therapists.”
The book also contains digital media such as tutorials & podcasts.
