Under this heading, a working group featuring high-calibre contributions came together at this year’s EGOS conference (https://www.egosnet.org/2021_amsterdam/ONLINE_Colloquium-2021), which took place virtually in Amsterdam from 8 to 10 July. The working group was chaired by Paul Leonardi, amongst others, meaning that the socio-materiality of AI received particular attention. The IAW contributed with the paper:

The workshop provided insights into research findings on the implementation of AI in work processes across Europe, Asia, North and South America. The phenomenon of a growing disconnect between AI development and the user domain – a focus of the IAW team’s work – is currently being highlighted in empirical studies worldwide.
