AI and Art – Artistic Perspectives on the Use of AI in Work Processes
How is artificial intelligence transforming creative working methods – and what new approaches emerge when art and technology come together? As part of the exhibition route ‘exhibition route PEOPLE. WORK. AI.’ organised by the HUMAINE Competence Centre, which interactively demonstrates how human-centred AI connects the world of work, technology and society today and in the future, we invite you to an exciting discussion. Together with the artist Emil Schult, who is a key driving force behind the exhibition with his own work and ideas, we will discuss creative practice, technological innovations and new forms of collaboration between humans and AI. Emil Schult is a visual artist, poet and long-time collaborator with the band Kraftwerk. As co-author of iconic lyrics such as “The Model”, he has played a decisive role in shaping the connection between art, technology and music, and stands like no other for the artistic exploration of digital themes of the future.
📅 10 March 2026, 4.00–5.30 pm (90 minutes)
📍 RUB Makerspace (O-Werk, Mark 51°7)
🎤 Host: Prof. Dr Uta Wilkens
To accompany the exhibition, this format provides a space for brief insights and open discussions. Together, we aim to explore the themes behind the exhibition stations in greater depth and examine AI from a variety of perspectives.
Other discussion topics this spring will include:
• AI literacy – how it benefits us and how it protects us
• Who am I when AI is involved?
• Training for working with AI – new roles for humans and AI – and more.
The number of participants is limited to 20 – we look forward to an in-depth discussion in a small group.
