How can artificial intelligence (AI) be successfully introduced into organisations? What challenges arise in practice, and what skills are required for successful implementation? The AI Competence Radar is a scientifically grounded business survey designed to answer precisely these questions.
The survey is aimed at companies across all sectors and of all sizes, and aims to systematically map the current state of AI adoption, as well as existing barriers, skills requirements and examples of good practice. The findings will form an important basis for providing companies with even more targeted support in the future when it comes to introducing and using AI.
The AI Competence Radar was developed by the three regional centres of excellence for labour research in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia – AKzentE4.0, HUMAINE and WIRKsam – in close consultation with the Ministry of Labour, Health and Social Affairs (MAGS) of North Rhine-Westphalia and the social partners.
The survey takes about 15 minutes to complete. As a participating company, you will receive feedback on your current stage of development and will be better able to contextualise your results. At the same time, you will be making an important contribution to generating reliable insights for academia and business practice.
Survey period: 7 July 2026 to 31 July 2026
We look forward to your participation and warmly invite you to share the survey via your networks. The more companies that take part, the more meaningful the results will be and the greater the benefit for the regional economy and the shaping of the working world of tomorrow.
