On March 25, 2026, the student lab “Lab Future: Hands-on AI, Work, and Technology” opened its doors at the RUB Makerspace as part of the exhibition route PEOPLE. WORK. AI..
The students of Gymnasium Heiligenhaus took the opportunity to gain practical insights into current scientific questions and to explore the RUB Makerspace.
At various stations throughout the exhibition and through direct exchange, they engaged intensively with key aspects of artificial intelligence. The focus was on how it is transforming professions and what impact this has on professional identity and individual skills.
For us, this was a great start for a format that gives high school students the opportunity to combine career orientation with critical engagement with future technologies.
