The HUMAINE Spring Fair 2025 offered numerous highlights. These included the innovative panel discussion in the style of a silent disco on the topic of “Artificial intelligence in care”.
In the interesting panel discussion on March 6, 2025 in the ZESS research building, experts from care, science, technology and politics discussed the opportunities and challenges of AI implementation in care.
Our panel participants: Dr. Paul Fiete Kramer (Institut Arbeit und Qualifikation), Stephan Graue (Managing Director Evangelische Pflege Diakonie Vohwinkel gGmbH), Marc Margulan (Managing Director dexter health), Ulrich Christofczik (Managing Director of the Evangelisches Christophoruswerk in Duisburg and spokesperson for the Ruhr Area Conference on Care) The discussion was moderated by Christoph Monfeld from MedEcon Ruhr.
The silent disco atmosphere made it possible to concentrate fully on the content alongside the trade fair activities and to get to know different perspectives on AI-based solutions in care.
Conclusion: AI in care has enormous potential to relieve the burden on care staff and improve the quality of life of those in need of care. However, close cooperation between technology developers, nursing staff and political decision-makers is required in order to implement integration successfully and ethically.
Many thanks to everyone involved for the inspiring insights!
