On 15 June 2022, we had the opportunity to observe work in the radiology department of our pilot partner. Together, we are working on the development of human-centred AI for diagnostics. To this end, we are carrying out an integrated workflow analysis to realise the full potential of the future solution.
Whilst there, we were able to gain interesting insights into the work processes and procedures. Our interdisciplinary team (IAW & GA RUB/IGM) was guided through the various work areas by Lena Will (KK Bochum). Our observations focused both on the work processes and interaction with technology, as well as on the collaboration between the different groups of people involved.
Through insightful interviews, we were able to lay the foundations for targeted research as the project progresses.
