A special highlight of the HUMAINE Spring Fair 2026: the presentation of the HUMAINE Award!
As part of the Spring Fair XL on February 26, 2026, the HUMAINE Award – sponsored by the HUMAINE Network e.V. – was presented.
The Bochum-based company Gebr. Eickhoff Maschinenfabrik and Eisengießerei GmbH received the award in the “Transformation” category and impressively demonstrates how a traditional industrial company can proactively and collaboratively shape AI. Through a joint initiative by management and the works council, a comprehensive framework agreement on AI was developed at an early stage, based on co-determination, qualification, and trust. This cooperative approach creates a solid foundation for a sustainable and widely accepted AI transformation within the company.
The Dortmund-based technology company MotionMiners GmbH stands for a consistently human-centered use of artificial intelligence, where supporting employees is at the core. Through formats such as the company-wide AI Challenge, the company actively promotes participation, a culture of learning, and practice-oriented innovation. With clear ethical guidelines and structured experimental spaces, MotionMiners demonstrates how AI can be introduced in a responsible, practical, and culture-oriented way.
The future of AI stands not only for innovation, but also for close collaboration between humans and technology. This is exactly where the HUMAINE Award of the HUMAINE Network e.V. comes in. The award recognizes companies that have developed AI-based solutions which make a sustainable, positive contribution for users, closely integrate AI into the further development of work processes, and adhere to the highest ethical standards.
The two award winners of this year impressively demonstrate how the use of AI can succeed with a strong focus on people.
