On 10 September 2025, our colleagues Alexander Ranft (Joint Office RUB/IGM) and Dr Paul-Fiete Kramer (Institute for Work and Qualification) had the opportunity to present their research findings at the 14th ILERA European Congress Conference at Durham University Business School.
In their presentation, ‘AI regulation in the workplace: A look at actors, resources and practices in German companies,’ they shared insights from their collaboration on the HUMAINE project, which focused in particular on AI regulation in small and medium-sized enterprises in the Ruhr region. The presentation offered a fascinating look at the actors, resources and practical approaches that companies consider when using AI.
We thank the presenters for the amazing work and are happy that the results were shared on an international conference.
