Technological advances and their increasing integration into everyday working life are transforming work as we know it. This is creating new challenges and opportunities for employees. To ensure that the use of artificial intelligence does not result in the loss of the identity-forming elements of a job, but rather that motivation and vigilance are maintained and promoted, Sophie Berretta, Dr Alina Tausch, Prof. Dr Corinna Peifer and Prof. Dr Annette Kluge are conducting research into the human-centred design of human-AI teaming workplaces as part of the HUMAINE research project. The Job Perception Inventory (JOPI) helps to design the use of AI in a human-centred way and to put people back at the centre in a world shaped by technology.
