In his lecture, “How to plan experiments in the most efficient way using probabilistic machine learning?”, he will discuss the importance of efficient experimentation and the relevance of Bayesian optimization techniques. Mr. Dürholt will explain how Evonik transitioned from classical Design of Experiments (DoE) methods to Bayesian Optimization (BO) techniques to accelerate research and development and optimize industrial processes. He will also introduce the Python code BoFire, which enables researchers to analyze complex parameters, optimize experimental designs, and make data-driven, probabilistic decisions.
