On 1 and 2 June, the kick-off meeting to mark the opening of the humAIne Centre of Excellence will take place. The Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) is funding the project, entitled “humAIne Centre of Excellence – Ruhr Metropolis Transfer Hub for Human-Centred Work with AI”, as part of the funding priority ‘Future of Work: Regional Centres of Excellence in Labour Research’ with around 8 million euros for an initial period of four years (funding reference: 02L19C200). Prof. Dr Uta Wilkens from the IAW is leading the consortium. A total of 32 partners are involved in the project. The aim is to develop new working methods for integrating artificial intelligence into organisational work processes. The applications to be developed will focus on industry and the healthcare sector and will be developed and tested as part of seven pilot projects.
