\ud83d\udca1 How can corporate knowledge be captured and organized in a way that makes it not only retrievable, but also truly usable? And what role can AI play this? <\/b>\ud83d\udca1<\/p>\n
This question was the focus of our HUMAINE #deasLab last night, titled \u201cRethinking Corporate Knowledge\u2014How AI Makes Knowledge Actionable.\u201d<\/p>\n
With almost 40 participants, we discussed how AI-powered knowledge systems can help companies structure, preserve, and put knowledge into practice.<\/p>\n
Prof. Dr. Uta Wilkens began by providing an introduction to the importance of AI skills in the workplace and presented the initial results of the survey conducted as part of the AI Skills Radar.<\/p>\n
In his keynote, Dr. Philipp V. Ramin provided fascinating insights into corporate knowledge, knowledge management, and the question of what opportunities AI offers for preserving knowledge in the long term. It quickly became clear that implementing AI is not just a technical project, but always also a competence and organizational project. AI competence means far more than prompt engineering, as critical judgment, verification, and the conscious handling of AI-generated results remain essential. <\/p>\n
In the following practice session, Moritz Sellhorn, Head of Digital Transformation & BPM at thyssenkrupp Bilstein, demonstrated how AI-powered knowledge systems can be developed in real-world scenarios. Particularly intriguing was the concept of a \u201csecond brain\u201d for organizations: AI can summarize, link, and contextualize knowledge as soon as it is added, thereby making search processes significantly more efficient. At the same time, it became clear that scaling, quality assurance, and continuous review remain key challenges. <\/p>\n
During the subsequent panel discussion\u2014featuring Dr. Philipp V. Ramin, Moritz Sellhorn, J\u00f6rg Brune, Global Engineering Director at Ingersoll Rand, and Tim Reichert, founder of SOLANIUS GmbH, and moderated by Prof. Dr. Uta Wilkens\u2014the focus was on the implementation of AI-supported learning in companies based on expert knowledge. The lively discussion showed that the potential here is enormous; however, trust can only be built through comprehensible solutions, transparent processes, and reliable quality assurance. <\/p>\n
The evening then came to a close at the ZESS Research Building with drinks, snacks, and many lively conversations and discussions.<\/p>\n
