We addressed this question during a founding workshop with members of HUMAINE, Prof. Dr Gordon M\u00fcller-Seitz and Jonas P. Metzger from SmartFactory-KL. Our guests from Kaiserslautern provided us with interesting insights into SmartFactory-KL\u2019s membership model and structure. Together, we discussed which approaches and mechanisms are suitable for the HUMAINE competence centre. Armed with these findings, we entered into consultation with the University Development Office at Ruhr University Bochum to plan the next steps towards institutionalising HUMAINE.
