What an exhibition route PEOPLE. WORK. AI.. We are not only looking back on five years of interdisciplinary project work, but also looking ahead to what lies in store for the HUMAINE Competence Centre.<br \/>\nFor the fifth time, we invited guests to experience the latest solutions for the human-centred integration of AI into operational work processes in industry and medicine \u2013 and over 200 guests attended. <span class=\"b4a42177\">WDR<\/span> reported on the event in its \u2018Lokalzeit Ruhr\u2019 programme on 26 February 2026 (excerpt from 07:57 \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ardmediathek.de\/video\/lokalzeit-ruhr\/wdr-lokalzeit-ruhr-oder-26-02-2026\/wdr-essen\/Y3JpZDovL3dkci5kZS9CZWl0cmFnLXNvcGhvcmEtYWYyYTBmYmEtNDRlOC00Y2QyLTkwNTMtMmI2ZjFjMjVkMTk1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">link<\/a>). State Secretary <span class=\"b4a42177\">Matthias Hauer<\/span> from the BMFTR thanked us in his welcoming address for our successful project work and made it clear that work research will continue to play an important role in the Federal Government\u2019s high-tech agenda in the future. The Rector of Ruhr University, Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. <span class=\"b4a42177\">Martin Paul<\/span>, sees our approach as providing important impetus for the Excellence Strategy in the UA Ruhr; the Mayor of <span class=\"b4a42177\">Bochum<\/span>, J\u00f6rg Lukat, acknowledges our contribution to urban society; and the cooperation with the <span class=\"b4a42177\">Regionalverband Ruhr<\/span> provides us with the backing for the exhibition concept of the exhibition route \u2018PEOPLE. WORK. AI.\u2019, whilst the artist Emil Schult crowns it all with his distinctive style.<br \/>\nThe <span class=\"b4a42177\">RUB Makerspace<\/span>, led by <span class=\"b4a42177\">Florian Welsandt<\/span>, is the ideal place for new discoveries. The newly opened exhibition has a fresh, youthful feel \u2013 just like the target audience it aims to reach. School groups, students and, indeed, people from all walks of life are warmly welcome to experience the exhibition and have their say. In the spirit of artist Emil Schult\u2019s \u2018Update the Future\u2019 \u2013 we are ready.<br \/>Most importantly: HUMAINE is here to stay, and HUMAINE Network e.V. will continue to organise the spring fairs in future. This year\u2019s HUMAINE Award went to the companies <span class=\"b4a42177\">Eickhoff<\/span> (Transformation category) and <span class=\"b4a42177\">MotionMiners GmbH<\/span> (Innovation category).
